Dr Sharon Vasey

Specialist General Practitioner Women's Health | Medical Educator

Dr Sharon Vasey is a UK-trained Specialist General Practitioner with 27 years of clinical experience. She relocated to Perth, Western Australia in 2010 and has since continued her commitment to high-quality, patient-centred primary care.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK), Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Diploma of Faculty of Family Planning and Diploma of Geriatric Medicine.

Dr Vasey has a longstanding special interest in women’s health and holds the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK).

Her clinical focus includes menopause care, contraception, antenatal care, and the management of complex and persistent pelvic pain.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Vasey has been a Medical Educator for over six years, delivering women’s health education and workshops to General Practitioners in training. Her teaching experience reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and mentoring junior colleagues.

While significant advances have been made in menopause care, Dr Vasey recognises the ongoing prevalence of myths and misinformation—particularly surrounding menopausal hormone therapy. She provides clear, evidence-based guidance, ensuring her patients are supported by accurate information rather than headlines or social media narratives.  She is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society and attended the 2025 AMS Congress in Fremantle.

Driven by this philosophy, Dr Vasey has founded a GP-led, multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals with specialised expertise in women’s health, and a particular focus on menopause management and persistent pelvic pain. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive, informed, and compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs.
